ntm their upload frequency is wayyy too frequent for the production quality + pretty much all of the song choices are from extremely popular music ventures rn (gacha games and other trending media), this has like all of the hallmarks of AI generated slop contentfarming

kind of crazy we're mere weeks from the actual anime airing... i started this composition mid 2024, way before we even got a proper trailer, as a way of writing a hypothetical 'main theme' for the anime, and now it's literally at our doorstep...

like… no duh cygames wouldn’t choose to carry “Grand Live” over verbatim when there’s a good chunk of EN speakers who don’t have that connotation. shows like “Saturday Night Live” refer to the show being “live” as an /adjective/, whereas the jp word is very much just a /noun/.

on researching this, i think it’s generally really interesting how “live” (ライブ) as a word in japanese has basically no presence in english despite BEING a loanword, it’s only in being so familiar with jp media that we even register “live” as being a word for “live concert”

insane thing I just found out about, but the metadata for all of the umamusume soundtrack albums (WINNING LIVE 6, 12, 25, etc.) actually all come with official english localized titles, INCLUDING the new scenario names, which so far line up with global- (🧵) #umamusume #ウマ娘
