Most under-appreciated story in Oregon HS football: Franklin is 4-0 and has outscored opponents 103-30 this season. (New coach Jesse Thompson and his staff are off to a great start)

The weight-room is special because it only rewards those that work. It values tenacity over talent. It doesn’t care about ⭐️’s or playing time. It’s a sanctuary where athletes aren’t subject to scrutiny from the outside world. The weight-room is a equal opportunity equalizer.

I look forward to the day when things like coach health, work/life harmony, burnout, career security, equality of opportunity, safety, compensation, contracts, representation & retirement are as passionately & routinely discussed in S&C as squat depth, Olympic lifts & programming

I hate the saying “if you’re the smartest person in the room you’re in the wrong room” So were Einstein, Newton and Bill Gates always in the wrong room? If you think you are the smartest person in the room you are probably an egotistical douchebag. You can learn from anyone.

As the parent of a child on the autism spectrum, this issue touches me personally. Autism affects 1 in 59, but current resources don't meet the needs of these neurologically atypical children. We must end the stigma and better serve these children and families.

Go Jacob! 👏 "It's helped us to begin conversations with a few people about training people in retail roles to have more awareness of (autism spectrum disorder) and how to make people feel comfortable," he said. cnn.com/2019/05/28/hea…
