Reading YT comments about Discord scanning media is frustrating. Media is scanned for specific reasons: • Detect and block CSAM • Generate thumbnails • Respect DM content settings (blur/filter) That’s about functionality and safety. Other comments claim Discord is “pushing adults and children together.” There is no proof of that. Most servers already require a valid invite or entry through discovery. There’s a barrier to entry. Shared spaces exist because users join them, not because Discord is forcing interaction. Debate privacy trade-offs if you want, yet inventing motives doesn’t help anyone.

Then don't reply to things that don't align with your goal. I was pointing out the issue 'I' had with the post. I don't care about the rest, I do not live in the US. None of this even remotely changes how I live right now. You are so strung up on Trump and politics and what others think. Let them think what they want, if it does not hurt you then what does it matter? If Trump was guilty for anything then the Biden Admin had it all and should have done something! His core message was: Clean up your own far worse systemic issues first before lecturing or deflecting to ours. He later clarified explicitly that comparing Iran style practices to the US is obfuscation. He never said "ignore Epstein" or "US child issues are fine." The "after that" was rhetorical, meaning address the bigger/more normalised evil abroad alongside domestic transparency, without using foreign problems as an excuse.

Again, he was telling outsiders to deal with their own shit first before talking about the US shit. If you are in the US talk all you want about US shit!!!
