There is an ever-raging war to redefine America as a "propositional nation," or a "creedal nation," which in and of themselves are complete contradictions in terms. A Nation is a people grouped by their shared birth. The Nation is definitionally interrelated with one another. What Gordon here is describing is essentially a branch of contract law. America was organized, fought for (and indeed fought against), and founded by people from an incredibly narrow branch of humanity, with Fₛₜ in the ballpark of .001-.003. There is no "creed" which makes one into an American. It is neither defined by document nor by oath. One cannot "become an American" through acts or statements. It is Blood.
