Serving the people of Texas and representing this community has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I am deeply grateful to the thousands of supporters, volunteers, and friends who stood with us and worked tirelessly throughout this campaign. The voters of House District 85 have spoken, and while this was not the result we hoped for, I respect their decision. I have always believed in putting service before self. That belief guided my work in the Legislature and it will continue to guide me going forward. I want to congratulate Dennis Geesaman on his victory and wish him success as he represents the district. Texas is worth fighting for, and I remain proud of the work we accomplished together to strengthen our communities, defend our values, and keep our state strong. Rep. @StanKitzmanTX stood with homeowners by voting for property tax relief—raising the homestead exemption, cutting taxes for families and seniors, and holding local taxing authorities accountable.

In 1979, a radical regime seized control of Iran and has spent decades exporting terror, oppressing its own people, and chanting “Death to America” while plotting against our allies. That evil has not been contained by wishful thinking or appeasement. It has only grown bolder. Today’s military action is about drawing a line. It is about telling the world that the United States will not stand idle while the world’s leading sponsor of terror spreads chaos and bloodshed. We pray for the safety of every American service member carrying out this mission. Their courage stands between freedom and tyranny. We also pray for their families—that they might find comfort and strength knowing that we support them and the heroic dedication of their loved ones. May this moment mark the beginning of greater security for our allies and greater hope for those longing to be free. May God protect our troops. And may He continue to bless the United States of America.

STATEMENT FROM THE STAN KITZMAN CAMPAIGN: During his Tele-Town Hall on Wednesday, Dennis Geesaman admitted that Stan Kitzman has abided by the laws and Constitution of Texas.   Geesaman acknowledged that after taking office, Stan Kitzman took the necessary steps to ensure his service to the Brookshire-Katy Drainage District was fully compliant. Geesaman stated that Kitzman sought guidance from the Texas Attorney General, the Attorney General confirmed it was legal, and that it was “okay to act as a consultant.”   It is disgusting that Geesaman’s campaign has been making such an egregious claim against a man who has served his country and community with the highest level of integrity, when Geesaman himself has acknowledged it is not true. The facts are clear. The Attorney General has issued opinions affirming that Stan Kitzman’s public service to his local drainage district is legal. Yet Geesaman’s campaign continues to suggest otherwise through attack mailers and texts, which is not only misleading voters — it is slanderous and reveals the level of dishonesty Geesaman is willing to embrace in order to score political points.   Voters deserve honesty and transparency from those seeking public office. Dennis Geesaman’s decision to promote false attacks the day before he stated that he knows this is legal, and then continue them the day after he stated he knows this is legal, raises serious questions about his credibility and his fitness to serve.

I’m deeply honored to be appointed by Speaker @Burrows4TX to serve on the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) Agriculture Task Force. Texas leads the nation in agriculture and, as the only Texan on the Task Force, I’ll be representing our farmers, ranchers, and rural communities in critical discussions on agriculture policy alongside lawmakers from across the country. From strengthening water infrastructure to supporting producers facing economic challenges, I’ve worked to ensure Texas agriculture remains strong for generations to come, and I’m ready to continue that fight on the national stage. Agriculture isn’t just an industry in Texas. It’s a way of life. I’m grateful for the opportunity and the trust placed in me by Speaker Burrows, and I look forward to bringing Texas values and Texas leadership to the table for our producers at home and across the nation.

Schools should focus on educating - not indoctrinating. DEI has no place in our schools and Rep. @StanKitzmanTX knows classrooms should teach reading, writing, math, and critical thinking - not progressive ideologies.    Parents have a clear and fundamental right to direct the moral, religious, and educational upbringing of their children. That right does not disappear when a child walks into a public school.    When schools push DEI agendas, they overstep their authority, divide students, and break trust with families. Education should unite around academic excellence and shared standards—not radical social experiments.
