Updates on the bank issue: bank may or may not caĺl today to tell me what's up. This is insane. It's been one month since i was told things would move, ONE MONTH AND STILL NOTHING EXCEPT FORM REPLIES. This credit card division is a POS.

This is a Divine Mercy story. Twenty odd years ago, I went to Confession. Had very good reason to do so. Told the priest, "I don't think God can forgive this." The priest didn't hesitate. "Well that's bullshit." (Priest was from Melbourne, so imagine this line spoken in an Australian accent). Then he said: "Jesus is the King of Mercy." My penance was to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet. I told the priest I didn't know what the Divine Mercy Chaplet was. So he handed me a pamphlet and told me to use a rosary to pray the Chaplet. I told him I didn't have a rosary. He said, "Bullshit. You do now." At which point he pulled a rosary out of his pocket and gave it to me. It was his personal rosary. He also told me to get my hands on a copy of St. Faustina's diary "Divine Mercy in my Soul," which I literally found on the parish's "book giveaway" table at the back of church as I was walking out after Confession. Fast forward 20+ years. Our first-born child was baptized on Divine Mercy Sunday. And our sixth child is Magdalene Faustina (it took that long because we had four boys between daughter 1 and daughter 2). So yeah, I guess you could say today is a pretty important day for me, my wife, and our family. Jesus, I trust in you!

And they had the gall to ask if i had any other assets. Why the blooming ell they think i would be forthcoming with that information after all this i am sure i do not know.

Well, the bank (@TalktoBPI ) called yesterday. Give you three guesses what they said. Yup. Still have no access to my money. Bank won't approve access. Process started in 2024 and still counting. Money ran out mid March 2026. This is insane.

Enjoying a peaceful day at home. BPI called. Still no progress. So what else is new? 4 weels and counting. Life continues.

So proud of my daughter who was 1 of 2 upcoming graduates selected for a program that will pay her last two semesters of college and guarantee her a position in her field at a nearby hospital for a year. Everyone in her class was vying for this. This is her 2nd degree. So proud!

I) For a leading bank, you sure have a shoddy way of treating cuatomers.

D) i will not replay to any DMs, as they are just templates and will do nothing to solve my cash flow. E) your bank has completely broken faith with me, and i will continue registering my disappointment and frustration on public social media until this issue is resolved

Dear @TalktoBPI , just to let you know that A) i have no more cash to cover my expenses B) because of the process of the credit card division, i have no way to access my funds C) my credit cards are about to be maxed out, jeopardizing my previous good standing with my other bank

G) that i have let it get to this point shows rhe depth of trust i once had for this bank H) the worst part of it is, i have people who are trusting me to make good on salaries that have been delayed for a month because i cannot acceaa my own money.

F) please be adviaed that i am a senior citizen with no other income and no other asseta i am willing to sell just to conclude this process G) also, your bank has not given me anythingbin writing to prove thi is a legitimate process.

@DoomScroling He was actually away on a mission when i was born, but he had made sure that she would have help, one way or another. The first few months of his retirement were a bit spicy, because he kept upsetting Ma's routine; but once they figured things out, it was all good.

@DoomScroling My mother used to say, half jokingly, that it was a merciful thing dad was a pilot. His being away from home 80% of the time let her have free reign over the house. Dad was a wise man, and interfered as little as possible, but helped as much as possible also.

Putting this here as a matter of public record of how a bank can ruin a nearly half century of great customer relations. Yes, i am aware there is a specific channel for this. My feelings on the matter have been registered there.

You can give me no definite timeline as to when things can start moving, which means i am literally trapped in my home for the forseeable future. If i had known thia would be a result of reinstating a card i didn't even miss, never would have i started thia miserable process.

@TalktoBPI Please be advised that i will be closing my BPI savings account in an effort to have some ready cash on hand. There is about 1k left in it anyway, and the need for cash supercedes anything else at the moment.
