@Seth_3773 He’s avoiding the baseline because that’s where the rules say the runner needs to be. Simpson is nowhere near the bag. However, I dont think he intended to take out Konnor. But I have no idea what the hell he was thinking by not sliding to the bag. He is completely at fault.

Everyone is talking about this video, but I think this is two people trying to avoid each other and Conner just making a mistake at the shortstop position. The slide is clearly off the base and then he comes clearly off the base to meet the slide. I think he had it pre-decided in his mind that he was going to try to avoid a direct slide and they just ended up at the same place. Everstake even called Cardano one of the most resilient and well-designed blockchain ecosystems out there. I think this isn’t just a casual opinion, it’s a more grounded and objective assessment. This company runs staking infrastructure at a global, institutional level, over a million users and around $7B in staked assets. They operate 80+ validators and have hands-on experience with tons of different blockchains, their consensus mechanisms, performance, security models, all of it. So they’re not here to shill one chain, they’re in a position where they can actually compare dozens side by side. I believe when they highlight Cardano’s stability, resilience, and decentralization, it carries weight. Even Anatoly, the founder of Solana, has publicly acknowledged the resilience of Cardano’s consensus algorithm. At the end of the day, people in the industry, the ones actually building and analyzing this stuff, they know how strong Cardano really is. That’s a big part of why I ended up getting involved in the ecosystem myself. I would say this isn’t just belief or hype. It’s a grounded conclusion based on years of technical experience, insight, and observation.
