@JasonSynaptic this is a ridiculous threshold. 100% effort research PI can write 6 good grants in a year without AI - especially if moving grants from scored to fundable over multiple rounds of review. there is a lot of room betwee 40 grants in one cycle and 6 in a whole year.

The NIH has decided that scientists can only submit 6 grants a year. OK. But you need a score that’s < 10% at least to get funded. Meaning, at best, 1 out of 10 grants you submit will have a chance (YMMV of course). 🫠

We had a spectacular Structural Birth Defects/Anomalies meeting at Baltimore the past two days. @StottmannLab and @ZohnIrene were the co-organizers and, along with the organizing committee did an amazing job. @SocDevBio provided logistical support and were amazing as always. /1
