I want to introduce you to Steve. He’s 83. His wife died a few months ago and he comes to this lodge in Spring Mill, Indiana and draws. He taught art in Terre Haute, IN his whole life. He also did courtroom sketches in court cases. In the comments I’ll share some pics from his sketchbook. He was excited when I said I was going to share his sketches with the world.

So my 16 year old daughter set two goals today. Side note: she’s been rejected by a few companies for a job so it’s been really affecting her negatively. But we are working on self esteem and confidence with each rejection, because that is life and we need to deal with it accordingly Anyway 1st goal is she’s going to have 1 composition notebook for her ‘book’ and she’ll be writing one full page every night 2nd goal is a 2nd composition notebook that’s going to detail her career in fitness, workouts, nutrition, her experiences... She wants to start free Saturday 30-min classes at the park for neighborhood kids ages 6-10 (mandatory parent attendance). She is also looking at getting her CPR certification. She wants to get kids moving in the neighborhood and she thinks this is a good start. She is looking into getting fitness and nutrition certifications and work solely with children. I’m telling you, I showed her the responses of my original post and she is now even more determined to get kids working out and eating healthy at a young age. 100% her idea and I could not be more proud.

@clazz101 @SweetPea1636 Good to hear, thanks. It'll be interesting to see what they say but failure rate is super important to clarify. My kid was born with a cleft palate so I'm not sure if that changes when they think it's best to do it. I'd rather wait until she can cope better.
