The no turnovers is the MOST impressive thing here if you've been watching all season
StatMuse@statmuse
The first player in the 3-point era to record 40+ points 10+ assists 3+ blocks and 0 turnovers in a game.

@hoopordie7777 I CAN HELP HIS HAMMIES. this is insane. i'm losing my mind with this staff.
English

good god. let me in the fking lockerroom!
Brendan Vogt@BrendanVogt
Bruce Brown is heading back to the locker room with med staff.
English

no, although that is the conventional thinking. but we're dealing w/ neurological tightness created by a lack of feedback from his hamstring & deep hip capsule tissues at ranges which have not been trained. doing too much Nordic (or any other repetitive pattern) is working the same damn tissue. the CNS will take away tolerance to be moved into other ranges.
English

@Swolletariat @VetanzeTherapy More nordic-type posterior chain strengthening?
English

re: "hamstring tightness" in this context...
when damaged connective tissue is not properly trained in rehab, that connective tissue dysfunction signals tightness. abnormal mechanoreceptor feedback loops from that tissue tells the CNS to tighten things up as a protective response

𝑩𝑹𝑬𝑨𝑲𝑰𝑵𝑮: Peyton Watson (hamstring) is “week-to-week” and OUT tomorrow vs. Spurs, per David Adelman Watson exited the Nuggets win over the Jazz Wednesday with right hamstring tightness
English

@VetanzeTherapy yes, but tbc it's not a problem exclusive to Nuggets. sports clinical & performance staffs everywhere are completely whiffing on these reactive strength injuries because they follow old paradigms from the 90's/2000.
English

@Swolletariat Exactly! This injury was preventable and the training staff is to blame
English

@DimarcellaChris one would think! it's such a disservice to the athletes.
English

@Swolletariat That does not surprise me at all. You would think a billion dollar industry would be on the cutting edge.... nah.
English

@Councilman303 the staff will do their best to reduce the tightness, but there are clearly issues not being addressed, so his playing time should be limited and he'll def be putting himself at risk. it's incredibly frustrating because it doesn't have to be this way.
English

@DimarcellaChris BINGO! literal strength bureaucrats want to maintain the status quo. it's an actual issue in the sports performance/medicine arena. they keep doing the same thing and expecting different results. the def of insanity.
English

@Swolletariat That makes sense. I know sports teams try to be efficient, but they are also run by old white guys.
