I think you are missing the point that we play pivot alot of times.
I understand his limitations, but you have mentioned technically sound attributes. Maybe low block ideas is left to the pivot partner to figure out with other attackers.

Brighton game was like that because we played against 34yrs old Pascal Gross and 40yrs old retired James Milner midfield pair.
We saw the Sunderland game where we had no control and Nottingham Forest where we were left open in the midfield when Casemiro was subbed off.
We play in the PL, we can’t survive without a natural DM!
