Carrick is a smart guy, he could see through the hypocrisy of the fans before he got appointed. Talking about the youth, the last manager gave game time to Obi, Amass, Federicson, Collyer, Kukonki, Lacey and Mantato. All featured in PL matches while Carrick on the other hand haven’t played any youth player up to 45mins combined since he got appointed. No fuss no reaction from the so called fans who care so much about the academy players. There’s this hatred Amorim outers has for Amorim, I feel it is more of personal issue than match result related. They hate him because he chose to be different, to go back to the basic and build everything from scratch, they hate him because he left no prisoners and was adamant on what he believes in. Manchester United fan haven’t had a coach like that since Sir Alex, everyone one who came were here for the glories, they wanted to prove something so fast that they forgot their philosophies. The only one who was able to make a significant difference was Jose Mourinho. They hated Amorim for binning the culture that had us in a circle for a decade, for bringing a new identity of football and majorly for doing away with their favorite players which was the beginning of the agenda against him. Rashford in 2024 while at Manchester United after a new contract said to his brother that he’d love to move to Barcelona, surely his head is in another club and wouldn’t mind finding a way to make it possible, for Amorim to say he’d rather play his GK coach than Rashford definitely shows they were discussions and actions the public didn’t know of between Amorim and Rashford. Shortly after the statement from Amorim, Rashford released an interview whining for Barcelona publicly which cemented his interest and move to the Catalonia giant. They hated Amorim for saying the youth/academy are entitled and lack discipline. The statement isn’t far from the truth, players from our academy in the last few years have been involved in one scandal or unprofessional behavior. We all know how it went with Greenwood with his behavior outside the pitch to Rashford publicly twerking for Barcelona to Garnacho calling out the coach for not starting in a match and Mainoo’s brother taking matters to his hands. Lastly, they hate him for not listening to outside noise but focusing on his goals and objectives, unfortunately that’s a foreign thing for Manchester United fans, legends and owners, they couldn’t do with a manager like that, they’ve never experienced it, even the manager himself count believe the board were listening to random pundits and podcasters opinions leading to him calling them out in his last press conference which eventually got him sacked. For Man Utd to be successful again we have to accept we are not that team anymore, let go off our nostalgia and eradicate the urge of sudden success.
