This whole “PRIORITIZE US” nonsense needs to end too, what exactly do you need players to prioritize you for? For being a joke post Ferguson-era And Carrick deserves some of the blame too. I love him, but it has to be said. How can a club miss out on its first, second, and even third priority target, and you’re still there? INEOS are a cancer, and if they can’t sign Mateus Fernandes for £85m or offer him 200k, anyone who still thinks we’re getting Tchouaméni is more delusional than someone who thinks they’ll win the lottery twice in the same week.

I'm starting to question the decision to appoint Carrick. The more I look at it, the more it feels like INEOS wanted a manager they could easily manage. A club legend on a short-term contract becomes the perfect shield if the project fails, the criticism falls on him before he's shown the door. Where is the backing every rebuilding manager is supposed to receive? Manchester City have invested £130M in Anderson and are already pushing for Ayoub. Meanwhile, INEOS are hesitating over Mateus Fernandes, despite the obvious need for midfield reinforcement. They know Luke Shaw needs reliable competition, they know the squad still lacks an experienced striker, and they know key areas remain unresolved. Instead of addressing those priorities, the conversation has shifted to bringing Rashford back. If that's the plan, then serious questions need to be asked about the direction of this rebuild.
