@Takerst I hope they learn too. I was very proud of myself for handling it so well. I bet they were marked as a suspicious user because streamers are banning them once they leave their chat over self promotion. 😅

Yesterday I had a business/product staff member come into my chat as a first time chatter (also came up marked as a suspicious user) to promote an event that requires my community to spend money to participate in. It made me so uncomfortable. Especially as a new user of the program. This was such a turn off for me that i’m considering yeeting the product even though I just started using it. If you represent a business or are game dev and you promote your product in a streamers chat when they have a no self promo rule… YOU ARE BREAKING THE RULES! Please don’t do this. There are better ways to get info to a streamer rather than using their chat to promote. THIS APPLIES EVEN IF THE STREAMER USES THAT PRODUCT! If we are not in a sponsorship contract that allows you to come promote in my channel, I do not consent to it!
