@Pebblet5 @Rationalconsu23 I know what defamation is, I also know how difficult it is to sue for defamation when public figures are involved. For the most part she would need to prove actual loss due to it, and actual malice.
Libel is definitely a lower threshold. But again, would probably be a poor look

Even outside of the criminality it is defamatory to spew all of this and suddenly take back what was said. If you want Ii can say she can sue for libel?

@lensless1221 I did clarify in another comment that I was talking about the high threshold to be successful. Could she sue for defamation? Yes, definitely. Would she probably be wasting her money pursuing it? Also yes. The threshold is higher when public figures are involved

This isn’t about the state taking over the basic job of a parent this is about supporting parents who have jobs.. some of us have to be at work by 8am. There are bigger problems in the world that we should be upset about, kids getting a free breakfast is not one of them

The breakfasts are not free. They are paid for by taxes - mostly on parents who feed their own kids. Most of these 10,000 children would have had a perfectly healthy breakfast at home without these clubs. This isn't about helping the poorest kids, it's the state taking over the basic job of parenting.
