Nearly 2,000 teachers in Charlotte NC have requested TO LEAVE WORK to "protest" on May 1st.
At least 7 ENTIRE SCHOOL DISTRICTS have cancelled classes so that teachers can protest next Friday, including 2 of the 4 largest school districts in the state.
"The school system cannot provide adequate supervision of students due to the volume of leave requests that have been submitted..."
