@CmdrBriggs @EricLDaugh That’s not how it works moron. lol. And never mind the fact that a majority of Albertans would need to agree. 120,000 signatures ain’t that dumbass. Edmonton is hugely NDP leaning as is a bunch of Calgary. You’re totally delusional. It’s comical actually.

@ThOne_AndOnly @EricLDaugh Oh man, I love watching people misunderstand the basic concept of a people coming together and going "We're leaving." Independence isn't asking for permission; it's serving a notice.😂But sure, take comfort in... the Canadian constitution Alberta is declaring independence from?

@CmdrBriggs @EricLDaugh You’re a total moron my guy. Under the Constitution of Canada, no province has the right to declare independence. It can only happen with negotiation with the Country and all provinces - good luck.

@ThOne_AndOnly @EricLDaugh Canada has no right to veto an independence referendum or result. Literally, Grok could tell you that. Or any Quebecer. But Ok, bud.

@canuck202666 @EricLDaugh Not only that, lol, legally the country can veto a secession. This signatory process is literally just to have a poll done to see the appetite for support in the province, it literally does nothing with regards to actual separation. These people are morons.

@karankendre That’s if we pretended this AI crap was ever intended for curing anything by these big tech companies. What profit is there in that? All of it is a facade to gain ultimate control of everything.

🇨🇦💸To Canadians who are now looking at $2/litre (and rising). Before you blame it on Trump, here's a reminder. Canada has the 3rd largest oil reserves in the world. It's our Liberal Prime Minister who won't allow us to use them. Plus the Prime Minister before him had a decade to prepare for this, but also wouldn’t us to prepare nor prosper 11 years of planned decline! This was NOT by chance!

@Reil76 @libsoftiktok These people are still mentally kids who think the world revolves around them so everything affects them. They the softest people you ever met. And they profit on X based on outrage. They are the most pathetic of society. It’s beyond sad at this point.

@Mappy6984 You’re an idiot. This is clearly ridiculous, but divorce rates are lower now than they have ever been, closer to 20% of marriages. Most people don’t deal with this shit.

@markjquann @mcuban Minimal things are paid for privately, other than quicker access south of the border for certain things. People have same day access to doctors always, while true it can be more difficult to have a “home” doctor. You’re not a real person or a total fucking idiot.

@mcuban Canadians struggle to get doctors. The wealthy still pay for better care. So I wouldn’t use Canada as the model. And since when has government made anything cheaper? The U.S. system is broken. But Canada isn’t the answer.

Look up how and when Canada got there and how they budget and pay for it. Then ask how you would transition our system to their approach

@mcuban @DrDiGiorgio It really is a shame we don't have hundreds of examples of how Single-Payer, Universal healthcare works in countless first world countries on Earth. Canada is literally our neighbor.

@ThomasF49695342 @mcuban Total bullshit example. Wife just had 2 kids in the last 3 years, paid nothing, had midwives and doctors through-out. Father currently undergoing cancer treatment, scheduled in less than 2 months from diagnosis. I had plastic surgery done to my ear last year within 3, free. Liar.

@mcuban We know how they got there. A relatively small population with a 6-month timeframe for a pregnancy exam, years to schedule chemo. They distribute inadequate care "fairly". Is that the model you want?

So Canadian Armed Forces & bases were ATTACKED by Iran in Kuwait, and 1) Carney didn’t tell Canadians 2) Canada didn’t respond back, and 3) Carney said Canada would never get involved in the War on Iran, even though we were attacked 🤯 This is weakness and very concerning

@marissenmark We are at the political stage of needing a different party leading this province right now. It doesn’t matter how much further right the Cons are right now, BC residents en masse just desire new leadership who is fiscally more responsible, and less cow towing to First Nations.

A few thoughts on this: 1. Where's One BC? Were they included in the poll? If they were, that's amazing. That means that they are mostly a Twitter party. But if they weren't included, it's hard to know if the spread between NDP and Conservative is real. 2. I will say it again: if there was a Mark Carney-style provincial Liberal Party, these numbers would be dramatically different. It's a crime that the Liberal brand is being held hostage by Kevin Falcon, who is also brother-in-law of one of the BC Conservative leadership candidates. Given that BC United is essentially dormant, they should do the right thing and let Liberals get their brand back. 3. A BC Conservative government is possible, but let's not forget that it's the only other perceived choice on offer, and some voters may not know how much more right-wing this Conservative Party is (based on the rhetoric we are hearing) than previous opposition coalitions against the NDP.

@trackwanderer @IRPlawyer Borders have changed many times over, even amongst “original” populations. We live in the modern world at this point also. Nobody voted for this. I have indigenous ancentstry, should that mean some of this land is mine as well? It’s stupidity.

@marissenmark The truth is, most people didn’t vote for this type of “reconciliation” np matter how hyperbolic some of the dialogue is on this. And it’s just going to stew worse anti-indigenous sentiment. It’s ludicrous behind closed doors stuff.

NEW - Ottawa says agreement w/ Musqueam band "provides general recognition that Musqueam has Aboriginal rights and title within their territory" and sets up "future negotiations to define how and where those rights and title could apply" but doesn't actually grant title. Yet.

Trump’s attack on Iran violates UN rules Canada has agreed to uphold. It contradicts numerous values PM Carney claimed he supported in Davos. Endorsing illegality, violence, & destruction over dialogue and peaceful resolution is not what Canadians were promised, or support.
