How many tattoos yall got? And which is your fave and why? This is my fave. It’s a portrait of my son Aidan before he passed away from childhood cancer. When I took the photo I asked him what he thought about cancer and the finger was his response! It became a pretty viral pic amongst the cancer community.

As a Vegas Golden Knights fan, I could give a flying fuck whether or not the players or coach talk to the media after a game. Vegas fans care about our team, our players, and our draft picks to acquire more talent. Instead of celebrating a trip to the Western Conference Final, Vegas media instead made it about themselves and cried to the NHL about media press availability. From my understanding, some of the accounts are: @SinBinVegas @JesseGranger_ @TDChrisG If there’s more, please tag them and let them be known that due to the media getting their feelings hurt, they cost the @GoldenKnights a 2nd round pick for a team that they claim to support. If all of this is true, a big resounding fuck you is in order and I hope the team refuses to answer any questions from these individuals moving forward. I’ve also gone ahead and canceled my @TheAthletic subscription if Jesse Granger is in fact one of the individuals caused this.

Let’s clear something up about MAID in Canada. It does not apply to children. You must be 18 or older. Mature minors do not qualify. Full stop. It does not apply to people simply because they are poor or struggling. To be eligible, you must have a serious and incurable illness, disease or disability, be in an advanced state of irreversible decline, and be experiencing intolerable suffering that cannot be relieved in any way you find acceptable. Financial hardship alone is not a criterion. It is not a rubber stamp. Approval requires assessments by two independent practitioners who review your medical records and confirm you have seriously considered available treatment options. When death is not reasonably foreseeable, a minimum 90-day assessment period is required. People whose only medical condition is a mental illness are not currently eligible either, that eligibility has been postponed to March 2027 while further safeguards are studied. You can have moral or religious objections to assisted dying. That is a legitimate position held by a lot of Canadians. But spreading misinformation about what the law actually says is not an argument. It is just fearmongering. Know wtf you are talking about before you talk about it.

Carney is moving ahead on a new pipeline to get Canadian oil to global markets, something Alberta has been demanding for years. And yet, Alberta is STILL complaining. First it was “we need pipelines.” Now it’s “not this one,” “not fast enough,” or “not good enough.” At some point it stops being about pipelines and starts looking like a province that just wants to be perpetually mad no matter what happens.

Ughhhh got pulled over for speeding on my way home from work. 63 in a 40, bad I know! First time since 2001 I’ve been pulled over. Luckily he knocked it down to 55 in a 40 and it’s only $95.

@Reil76 I used to be driving at 20 over on all roads until a year ago. My car insurance app tracks my driving score for each ride, I now take that feedback and improve on my driving.

@eebie4 Oh absolutely there are. Quebec actually does allow advanced directives, but others don’t at this point.

@Reil76 There are some mental health conditions/neuro that do debilitate and eventually kill you. Not in a nice way. ie Alzheimer’s disease. The only way that'd work though is if MAiD allowed advance directives. I don't think they do. By the time death is imminent, your mind isn't sound.

Agree Wayne. The misinformation and lies being spread about MAID are awful. My SIL chose maid, she had a Parkinson’s like disease and she was confined to a bed and could no longer swallow. I’m glad she had this available to her instead of her suffering a horrible death. Wish people would look beyond their belief systems and themselves and actually have compassion and understanding for others and their decisions. Like the saying goes “my body, my choice” ✌️
