India's First Rajdhani ✨👑 The best train for Kolkata to New Delhi and vice versa. 12301 Howrah New Delhi Rajdhani at Platform 9 of Howrah. Most of the coaches are shining,well maintained and new. The new small and big train boards by Tikiapara are appealing.

Kolkata Suburban system needs huge upgrade • Clearing off/rehabilitate encroachments in Sealdah South & Circular Railways • Some more bypasses • atleast 25% of trains should be AC • Construction of parallel metro lines to decongest suburban traffic

This day marks a defining moment in India's history, shaped by the efforts of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee and countless other Hindu nationalists, who ensured that a part of Bengal remained within the Indian Union and became a refuge for dispossessed Hindus during Partition. For decades, the significance of this chapter was intentionally overlooked by the Left ecosystem in deference to their vote bank. Now, Urban Development Minister Agnimitra Paul has indicated that DPRs are being planned for the modernization, expansion and beautification of multiple ghats along the Hooghly. According to the minister, the Chief Minister has assured funding for DPR preparation and immediate commencement of work once the plans are finalized. @SMPRO6 u think they were interested at all?? so many things were proposed by kmc like dedicated college street store, Kumartuli renovation etc.. etc., they did nothing TMC kept saying Kolkata Eye from 2012 🤡🤡🤡🤡 2026 now, the party is in tatters but not a single brick laid for it

During Left time, a BRT was proposed in Kolkata as well. As any other project, it stayed as proposal only. Though BRT may not be feasible for Kolkata now, modern tram system can be modelled on this BRTS
