A FRESH WORD FOR TODAY - Sunday edition “The Lord says, “I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts. It was I who sent this great destroying army against you.” — Joel 2:25 During my study today in the book of Joel and really meditate and thinking about what Joel said to the people in his day. We all have experience losses and restoration. Let this be an encouragement to us today to keep trusting. The prophet Joel cautioned the people about God's impending judgment due to their sins and urged them to turn back to Him. When they refused to heed his warnings, God executed His judgment upon them. Nevertheless, He is merciful and patient, always ready to extend His compassion towards His people. He stands prepared to forgive us when we genuinely repent and return to Him, promising restoration and forgiveness. It's important to remember that when we turn away from what offends Him, He always turns back to us. Let’s take a moment to reflect on the concept of restoration. Many of us have experienced the anticipation of receiving a check in the mail, maybe an income tax refund or some expected financial gain. How does it feel when that arrives? It's often a relief, knowing you can finally settle that bill that has lingered on the dining room table for weeks. Spiritually, this is akin to what happens when God restores us or blesses us. In the book of Joel, the restoration involves returning what God had previously taken away from His people. This means that regardless of our past actions, when we return to Him, He always restores us and gives back what was lost. Restoration signifies that these blessings were once ours. No matter where we find ourselves today, the Lord God is merciful and will always bless us abundantly. When we trust in Him, we realize we never truly lose anything when we come back to Him with all our heart, soul, and mind, and love Him wholeheartedly. Therefore, we can be assured that whatever we may lose, God has the ability to return it to us because it is His will and desire to bless us abundantly.

At this time in history, mankind has more cameras recording everything that’s happening all over the world yet people are kept in the dark, not shown actual war footage and the truth of what is really happening in Iran, Lebanon, and Gaza. War used to be broadcasted on the nightly news now you are only told by the talking heads what is happening and what you are supposed to think about it. Most of the videos we see are from people’s cell phone videos that they managed to post on the internet somehow and even then many times it gets censored. And many of the war journalists that tried to cover the atrocities in Gaza were killed by the IDF so that the world wouldn’t know the horrors. Yesterday, Trump announced at a campaign event in Arizona that he ended more wars, claiming Israel would stop bombing Lebanon yet soon after he bragged, Israel started bombing Lebanon again. Trump also claimed the Strait of Hormuz is open and China is happy as he looks forward to their meeting. Yet overnight, Iran closed the Strait and has fired on multiple ships. There is a giant gap between the President’s Truth Social post and speeches and actual real truth and this must be rectified. The most concerning part is actual events contradict the President and suggest that he has lost control over his war in Iran. Trump is not a peace president nor is he a Truth teller.
