Focusing solely on how Trump’s margin of victory increased in NYC can obscure what actually happened. It wasn’t primarily driven by Democrats switching to Trump, but Dems staying home.

Bernie is absolutely right. The far right is winning because Democrats won’t change. People are hurting & they’re tired of broken promises, watered-down policies, and empty rhetoric while their communities suffer. Trump was handed this election by a feckless immobile elite.
