.@Burgatron13's daughter, Penelope, was born on October 25 with Down syndrome. Down syndrome, also known as trisomy 21, is caused by an error in cell division that results in an extra copy of chromosome 21. Jake will wear No. 21 this season for the first time in his career as he and his wife, Ashlyn, are in the process of starting a foundation for Down syndrome.

I can’t remember who I poached the tip from but letting students tell me anything extra they know that didn’t come up on the test is a great use of the back page. Kept them focussed while others were finishing off.
