Not trolling here, but maybe it had something to do with his experience last offseason where he went unsigned until the week before the season started. The security of being on a team and able to compete for a spot in March was probably more appealing than waiting all offseason to hopefully find the perfect scenario. It’ll be interesting to see what his contract looks like.

@nacholeber Good insight and it’s hard to argue with as of right now. I would say that Wentz didn’t look particularly great in 2025, just better than any other Vikings quarterback.

Ben thinks JJ McCarthy currently sits in the QB3 spot as of right now 👀 I trust Ben Leber’s opinion more than almost anyone, including all the “experts” out there on there big networks, so this really makes me think. If JJ McCarthy is really that’s low on the depth chart right now, the team should just get rid of him.

We’re huge fans of CJ and we used to be big fans of Adam, too. Asking to be released from your childhood team in the last few weeks of a dream career just to try and get more playing time really puts off a lot of fans. Reminds me of the “dog” comments Randy Moss made at the end of his 2nd stint in MN. If that’s not the real story, feel free to write a piece about how things really went down. The fans would feel way better about Adam if it were the Vikings who wanted to end the relationship. Until then, we will make our assumptions and there’s nothing you, Adam, the Vikings, or anyone can do about it.

@AdamSchefter He just never got a great opportunity in Minnesota. He was given and chance to be RB1 at one point, but he couldn’t capitalize on it. Maybe he’ll get a fresh start in New Orleans.
