That would be as QB2, which I am okay with. I’m speaking to the theory many now have that Wentz coming back automatically makes JJ QB3. I don’t necessarily agree that is or should be the case, but if it is I believe it’s best to get what you can and give him an opportunity elsewhere.

@JasonHarmonNFL Why do that right now? My god can people chill already lol JJ isn't ready. They brought in another dude for a million bucks who is a proven starter. If JJ shows them something while sitting behind Murray then he can take over and they let Murray walk. It's literally win win

I want JJ McCarthy to succeed and I want it to be in Minnesota whenever that may be. But, if the team is wanting to make him QB3 just trade the kid and let him have a fresh start. As long as Kyler does as well as we all hope, it may be best for all sides.

With Adam Thielen and CJ Ham retiring and Harrison Smith released while deciding on his future, there are officially only TWO Viking players on the roster from their last playoff win in 2019.

@JasonHarmonNFL I just don’t think an old, hurt, Carson Wentz instantly means QB3 for McCarthy. Some people are fully overreacting because they have a vendetta against JJ. It’s weird, they literally just want to victory lap

@LemurZero I’m not in agreement that it’s automatically the case, but IF it’s their plan, give the kid a fair chance elsewhere.

After watching the QB play in training camp last year Murray, McCarthy, and Wentz will be a much needed upgrade.
