@TiffeQuill Historical Fiction. Genre blending and everything in between. I primarily write short stories.

@_yailetmf Write a first draft, just to put your ideas on paper. Once everything is written, take a step back and come back to perfect it. Nobody's gonna look at your 1st or 2nd draft, who cares? Also: end product doesn't have to be (and can't be) perfect. Nobody will expect perfection!

@realMattKParker @jakwyre That sounds like a gripping blend of Folk Horror and Supernatural Thriller. Are you drawing inspiration from any specific legends or myths for the curses?

@jakwyre thanks! in a sense I was editing and writing at the same time; the previous draft of this manuscript was 60K words; so I edited and added to it (another 37k words). Writing for me is a manic all or nothing process. It truly consumes me. I'm glad to be done (for now 🥴)

Matt, @realMattKParker congratulations on writing your manuscript. There is something about the physicality of actually sitting there and doing it. So, kudos to your effort(s), man. A couple of questions: Did you edit as you go? Are you good at editing? Is it fiction or what? Ta.

@TiffeDraft Forgive me as I'm still learning the specifics of book genres.😅 It's a type of supernatural mystery. It has elements of folklore with sudden action, revealing curses & unleashing danger in hopes of an escape, with major twists! Certainly an early WIP, but a decent start. 😆

I have made GREAT progress with the planing of my #WIP I was struggling to connect the characters to the location & I've finally cracked the code!! A Christmas Carol meets Scooby-Doo before The Dark Pictures Anthology with a Last Voyage of the Demeter twist... 👀 #writing #WIP

After a long time away, my brother came home from Japan and brought me some cigarettes (I’m not a smoker), among other things. I also just finished the first draft of my second novel. It’s been a good day #writing #firstdraft #manuscript
