Woo hoo. Ten more fruit trees added to my orchard and and 30 more pecan trees added to the pecan grove. Nice. Oh and I finished the first draft on my new book. Editing begins at dawn.

Writing a book is a hard work. A workout for the brain that takes months or years.

@KalSpriggs That final stretch is always satisfying , it’s where the whole structure finally pays off and the story starts feeling complete from a reader’s perspective.

Finished my writing sprint for the weekend, 87K words and a finished novel, Just under nineteen thousand words for the weekend, the last couple being my favorite, of course: The End.

@rollins_green @SDDonovan That kind of consistency is what actually gets novels finished. A lot of writers underestimate how much the middle of the draft changes things once you step back and look at structure and pacing.

@SDDonovan I don't know about to be a successful author. What I do know, is when I'm drafting a novel, I write every single day, meeting my goal for the day, until I'm finished, however long it takes. But that's just me.

Is it true that you have to write every single day to become a successful author? Or is writing now and then okay?

@maulpilled That kind of reading experience is rare. What was it about the book that hit you the hardest , the ideas, the characters, or the writing style?

i've just finished the most mind-boggling, cathartic, intelligent novel that hit the philosophical part of my mind like a truck and now i'm sitting in awe, completely speechless. i don't know what to do.
