A little personal news…
After a lot of thought, I’ve made the tough decision to step away as coach of the Norwood girls team. It’s been the honor of a lifetime to coach these incredible young women and to do it alongside a coaching staff that I absolutely adore. Steve, Joey, Liz, & Jim - thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️
Basketball has been one of my true loves in life, but I’m excited to give my other “loves” some extra time & attention - my amazing wife, my family (which includes two basketball-loving nieces), and my tribe of friends.
Being called “Coach” has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. To my players - past & present - thank you for letting me be a part of your lives, and for being a huge part of mine. I love you all to my core. Thank you for raising the collective bar and for not settling for anything less. In a world full of “average”, you became great. We talked a lot about life lessons, but #1 will always be to enjoy the ride. I know I certainly have. 💙💛

Michael Marcella, a senior at Pembroke High School in Massachusetts an uncommitted college prospect, is seeking opportunities to play in college for the 2026/2027 season. Michael Marcella is a 6’1 guard who shined as a star on the team as both a captain and athlete/player. Michael Marcella is a 2025/2026 Patriot League Conference First Team All-Star who helped in leading his team with Pembroke High School under Head Coach Matt Vincenzi averaging a team leading 16 points scoring per game during the season and into the Sweet 16 Round of the MIAA State of Massachusetts High School Boys Basketball Tournament.
