@CoachK_Nguyen I say all the time, it’s better to lose by 30 than win by 30 when it comes to development.

Is development or winning at the youth / elementary levels more important? A 30 point win in the same age group doesn’t matter over time. Move the team up a grade. Challenge them, promotes growth, improves skills, which teaches them to think and adapt under pressure.

Completely blown away today. Allie Lopes, who missed 120 days of high school due to a rare health disorder, who had to take summer school to catch up, who reclassed to catch up, PASSED THE FREAKIN BAR EXAM!!! Trading one court for another! So driven & determined! Inspiring!

A little personal news… After a lot of thought, I’ve made the tough decision to step away as coach of the Norwood girls team. It’s been the honor of a lifetime to coach these incredible young women and to do it alongside a coaching staff that I absolutely adore. Steve, Joey, Liz, & Jim - thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️ Basketball has been one of my true loves in life, but I’m excited to give my other “loves” some extra time & attention - my amazing wife, my family (which includes two basketball-loving nieces), and my tribe of friends. Being called “Coach” has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. To my players - past & present - thank you for letting me be a part of your lives, and for being a huge part of mine. I love you all to my core. Thank you for raising the collective bar and for not settling for anything less. In a world full of “average”, you became great. We talked a lot about life lessons, but #1 will always be to enjoy the ride. I know I certainly have. 💙💛

Michael is a high character kid who has tremendous upside. Already a skilled and dynamic scorer, Mike is still growing into his body. Explosive first step and creative at the rim. Absolutely a college level player. Someone is gonna get a steal!
