Getting out of the safety of your car with a gun in your hand isn’t an act of fear. It’s an act of aggression. The woman murdered an old man because she lacked self control and common sense!
A person with self defense in mind would NEVER voluntarily close the distance with the person you claim to fear.
Every self defense case depends on its specific facts, but claiming she was afraid does not automatically make every decision that follows defensive. That’s the low IQ scapegoat. So, of course that’s her main defense!
Choosing to leave a place of relative safety and approach a confrontation while armed is something that deserves serious repercussions. She was chimping out over a parking spot. She was never in danger!

Too many of you are confusing the fact that he was an idiot and didn’t run away the second he saw the gun and the woman being justified in shooting him because he DIDN’T run away.

Yes, he should have but that’s not a deadly threat to her. She had no right to shoot him.

@AnthonyCumia She’s pointing the gun at him. He sees the gun, yet he does not disengage and diffuse the situation. I think a normal person would be in fear for their safety in a situation like that. Sorry.

If this was a white woman, and a large threatening black man was rushing up to her while she backed up, fists balled, aggressively, and she shot him, no one would say a word. The hypocrisy of the white community on this is staggering.

Ok, here it is.
The 1st and ONLY physical violence that came out of this situation was when the black woman shot the white man. There was a verbal argument before that. That’s it. You can’t draw a weapon as a response to a verbal argument! EVER. That in and of itself is against the law.
You also can not use deadly force against someone for merely “walking towards you”. You need a threat of deadly physical harm or great bodily injury. He literally could have slapped her in the face and she STILL would not have been justified to shoot him.
But once again, emotions and ignorance rules the day. This was not self defense. She WILL be indicted.

The Florida law is clear. Can use deadly force if a reasonable person would fear they were in danger of IMMINENT death, serious bodily injury or forcible felony. He was unarmed and not threatening her when shot.

Brandishing a firearm in a parking lot where people are walking to & from Walmart is going to difficult to sell. Also, I have not seen the entire video…why couldn’t she just get in her own vehicle and leave? Or go back inside Walmart and call the cops from there. I just feel like she had options.

We are aware of footage showing the arrest of a man after a disorder on Broad Street at 1.30am on 21 June. Officers found a group of men fighting. As the incident was dealt with, an officer was punched. One man was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer.
