A few honest words for anyone starting carnivore, or thinking about it. The potential is genuinely incredible. It is also probably going to take longer than thirty days, so be patient with it. Some things get worse before they get better. That is the body recalibrating, not the diet failing. Two non-negotiables. First, aim for at least one gram of fat for every gram of protein. Fat is the fuel here, not an afterthought. Second, do not go hungry. This is not about restriction. Eat until you are genuinely full. Salt and electrolytes are not essential, and chasing them can actually make it harder for your body to learn to regulate itself. Nose to tail is not essential either. Meat, cheese, and eggs will cover all the nutrients you need. Liver is the tricky one. Loading up on it too often can tip you into vitamin A and copper toxicity, so go gently, or leave it out altogether. The real danger of carnivore is what it reveals. It strips away the problems you had quietly filed under normal, in your body and in your head. Once you have felt the difference, going back is hard. A great many people simply never do. And this is not a cult. You can leave whenever you like, and modify it however suits you. Nobody is keeping score. Just remember that the simplicity is one of its greatest strengths. Try not to complicate the thing that is finally working.

My son was obsessed with Pokémon cards after COVID, when they were nearly impossible to find. Whenever I managed to track some down, I’d grab a few booster boxes to stash away for later. He’s older now and all he wants to do is flip them, so I’m trying to figure out what I should keep, rip, or flip. I’ll drop some pictures in the comments as well. Would it make more sense to take them to a card show and sell the whole collection to a dealer? Should I rip everything open? Or just keep holding them? He also has a ton of singles we still need to go through. Thankfully, I was always there when he opened packs, so everything valuable got sleeved right away and should be in solid shape. Any advice on the best way to handle this would be greatly appreciated!
