Today in Maths we used balance scales to compare the mass of different objects and talk about them being heavier/lighter or equal in weight. @harris

Year 1 have started looking at the coins and adding them to make amounts.@Harris

This week Year 1 have been revisiting 2D and 3D shapes and looking at patterns. Here they are working together to sort the shapes into 2D vs 3D.@Harris

In English today we sequenced the main events of our new story Cave Baby in order. Then we became story-tellers ourselves and retold the story using our pictures as prompts.

“No PENS day!”

This week, as part of our “no one’s day” fun, we learnt how to play the Jewish game Dreidal! This helped us practise halving, sharing and turn-taking. Then everyone got to bring a chocolate coin home for their efforts 😊 @mrs_harris2008 @Miss_Goldman2

Year 1 Wonderland looked so festive in all their Christmas jumpers yesterday! 🎅🏻🎄🤗 @mrs_harris2008

The children had to give instructions for an image they had in mind and their partner had to try and draw it, by following their descriptions. This was harder than we thought and made us practise our listening skills! @mrs_harris2008

Today we have sent out tickets for the Year 1 nativity. Please check your children’s bags- they should each have two for the first performance and two for the second performance! 🎄🤗 Reminder: Please practise lines at home and send in costumes 🙏🏻 @mrs_harris2008 @Miss_Goldman2
