The 3 biggest Series As last week were all hardware: 🚢 HavocAI ($100M): ultra-low-cost drone boats already deployed with the DoD and a Hanwha partnership to build 200-ft unmanned warships. 🛰️ Star Catcher ($65M): constellation of satellites that beam concentrated sunlight via laser to other spacecraft's existing solar panels, giving them 10x more power without any retrofit. ⚡ Gridcare ($64M): power for data centers using an AI-built map of the grid's underutilized capacity that's already unlocked 2+ gigawatts across a dozen markets. - Don’t choose @firstround if you’re raising a Series C

There should be a special name to the Mega Round that fuels a foundational lab. Sometimes it's called a seed, sometimes it's called a series A, sometimes it's not announced with anything but as its own "thing"
