Classic American parade magic right here!🇺🇸 Shriners from Anah Temple in Bangor, ME rolling through with their killer GMC Suburban go-kart ramp, dudes driving those little carts right up, over the roof, and down the other side while the truck cruises. @steppedenizen I’m with ya. It’s a south Louisiana problem that has no easy answers. Court people will tell you these services have a cost and cannot be free. At the same time, I still see empty houses across the metro area that are hung up, one way or another b/c of probate issues. 🤷🏻♂️

While few of us as individuals have the power to make NOPD/DA’s office in NOLA better. An investment you can make in your/your family’s security not only today but I anticipate more so in 15-20 years, is building a walled off courtyard.

@steppedenizen The courtyard idea is fantastic if you’re fortunate enough to have enough space. We lived off Esplanade when I was a kid. While I remember the backyard of the shotgun double as expansive, the reality is it was much too small.

@steppedenizen I’ll agree with a few of your pts. 1 of the human tragedies caused by K was the probate process. You live in deceased Maw-Maw’s house & can barely make enough to maintain it. K comes and floods it. You ain’t got the $ to open probate, so you cannot qualify for SBA disaster loans

Dad told me I had, “motorcycles on the brain.” Yep. On Oct 25, 1975 I was glued to Wide World of Sports, watching him clear 14 Greyhound buses at Kings Island. But Christmas ’74-when the Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle was under the tree-my brain flipped into full “ramps are life” mode.

The very first bike flat I fixed, on my first day as a baby bike mechanic at 13 years old, I pinched the tube between the rim and tire bead, and as I pumped it up, once it hit about 100psi, it went off like a gunshot.
Still to this day, when I change a tube, I get nervous, haha.

As a former Disney cast member, I am saddened by how the company is pricing out the middle class. A Disney vacation has always been expensive for those with less, but with planning and saving, it was attainable. Say what you will about Walt and Roy, but they would have never allowed this to happen. The magic was for everyone.
