soundcloud.com/mimikova/bete-… I wrote this one the other night. It is a noisy drone experiment. I used Maths as a voice with Capt’n Big O and the MicroFreak. The bells are from the 707 into Clouds. There are also some strings on the MicroFreak, layered with a messy patch I made on the D-50. Also the Digitakt II and the TD3 My voice was sampled into grains (the start point is on a smooth random S&H), then into Clouds, which makes up the rest. I also used the Bat Verb, Plateau reverb, an ancient Echoplex, and the 121 Dual VCF, The Echo, Dimension D chorus, Jun-6 Chorus, pulveriser, along with the Schlappi 100 Grit filter. Tracked live into reason( well as live as electronic music gets). Like all of my music is is raw and imperfect, But damn it, Jim. I am a doctor not a professional producer. Still this is the fruit of a very fun night. #MyMusic #mimidancer

@kinpatsukenshi The green glow is likely magnesium or nickel. Orange is sodium. Yellow is iron. Purple is calcium. It's weird the things you remember, but I remember meteors and their glow colors and how they relate to their composition. Some of us are just weird.

Apparently there's a volcano erupting right now in the Philippines. I'm watching a livestream when suddenly there's this extremely bright green fireball coming from a completely unrelated trajectory. Is that a meteor?

There were so many nerd-out moments in The Mandalorian and Grogu. Like when the camera panned up and the pit looked like a Dejarik board. I got so excited I blurted it out, and K said, "I see it, Meems." The opening shot, with the X-wing fighters coming in with the sun in the background, was an obvious nod to Apocalypse Now. So many little moments like that made the film for me. I absolutely loved it. The ride was fun, and you could see the love and attention to detail in the practical effects, crafted with care and brought to life on screen. Phil Tippett is an amazing human. It's in vogue to hate Disney Star Wars, but I guess I'll always be that 9-year-old who loved Jar Jar and wished she could be a pretty space princess like Natalie Portman. This is absolutely worth seeing in the theater. Don't forget to bring your inner child. I highly recommend getting lost in moments from a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.

Went to see the Mandalorian and Grogu. I did my hair up in bilateral space princess buns. I’m always cold in the theater so I brought a fleece Grogu blanket. I was snuggled up next to Kyle and this older man spoke to him. He said your daughter is adorable. I called him daddy the rest of the night. I think I was more amused than him. 🤣

It's been 4 years. Today I'm remembering these innocent babies and the teachers who tried to protect them. 🫶

There’s a 14-year old girl in Toronto who’s now been missing for more than a week. On the spectrum, this girl left her home on a Friday night and hasn’t been home since. A parent’s worst nightmare. Search parties are going door to door, asking people if they’ve seen her, going through parks and neighbourhoods across the city. People are searching and praying for her to be found alive and safe, as civilized humans tend to do in such situations. But not everyone. Some, are ripping down posters of her. Destroying the photos that are intended to help bring about awareness, to help people be on the lookout for her. Some, are impacting her chances of being found alive and safe. Why? Oh. I forgot to mention. The girl is Jewish.
