@starryday93 @mgarding Under development is TN 2.0 considers the variables we had to take out in our initial build because of compute speed. These include the quality of the dam as a runner and the performance of the immediate ancestry at stud. It’s a considerable improvement on it’s predictive value.

@mgarding Absolutely! Especially for lower-level breeders that are focusing on trying to get a horse that makes it to the track and wins races. TrueNicks at least gives a percent of starters for the cross, but average starts per starter would be a great metric to consider.

Nick ratings can be so silly. Why do I feel more nervous recommending a mating that produces 67% winners than one that produces 59% winners? All because of some silly little letter that’s only dependent on the number of stakes WINNERS bred on a cross.
