When I gave this speech in October 2022, Bitcoin traded near $20,000, Strategy held 130,000 BTC worth about $2.6 billion, and $MSTR was ~$24 split-adjusted. Weeks later, after Bitcoin fell below $16,000, our debt exceeded the combined value of our BTC and cash reserves by ~$300 million, and $MSTR fell into the $13 range by year-end. We stayed focused, strengthened the company, and executed our strategy. Since then, Strategy has raised over $60 billion of additional capital and invested it in Bitcoin, adding more than 716,000 BTC. Today, our BTC and USD reserves exceed debt by ~$48 billion. $IREN Thoughts 👇 (I remain Shareholder and thesis remain intact - though some thoughts below, I am sharing below from reading so many posts from retail investors) Many investors have become increasingly frustrated with $IREN, and understandably so. 1. The biggest issue isn’t the long-term vision—it’s the lack of communication and transparency around capital allocation. Significant capital has been deployed toward the acquisition of the AI cloud platform, the Spain site, and the 800MW Australian expansion. These are ambitious projects that require substantial CAPEX, and investors deserve greater clarity on the funding strategy and expected returns. ✅ The market wants to understand how these investments will be financed. ✅ Ideally, funding should come from operating cash flow, strategic partnerships, debt, or other shareholder-friendly sources rather than heavy reliance on ATMs and dilution. ✅ Building out existing assets and generating revenue from current infrastructure before pursuing the next wave of expansion could help reduce the need for future dilution. 2. I understand management is focused on the long-term opportunity, and so am I. However, during one of the strongest bull markets in years, persistent ATM selling can weigh heavily on share performance and investor sentiment. This is just my view, and I could be completely wrong. 3. For now, I continue to hold my shares. My long-term thesis remains intact, but I believe investors would benefit from more transparency, clearer communication, and a more detailed roadmap from management regarding capital allocation and funding plans.
