So true. AI commoditizes programming, not engineering. As code generation becomes trivial, the real leverage shifts to architecture, constraints, and system design. That’s where true engineers (not just programmers) differentiate, and why demand increases, not decreases
Blake Scholl 🛫@bscholl

Unpopular opinion: AI will not reduce net employment, might actually increase it. To wit: AI-enabled coding increases Boom’s demand for software engineers. Because AI enables everyone to code, we now need more people to ensure architecture foundation is solid.

@SawyerMerritt Previous versions were trained on California drivers hahaha. I'm glad they improved this

With FSD V14.3 and after, the car consistently moves into the right lanes 2.5 miles before your highway exit. As you can see below, the moment the car is under 2.5 miles from the exit, it turns on the blinker. I have been able to consistently repeat this. With previous versions of FSD, it would often wait until the last minute. No more anxiety from last second exit merging lol. (video sped up)

Here's my first drive on Tesla FSD V14.3.1. It feels polished vs 14.3 and it my opinion is ready for wide release. • With 14.3.1, you can now tap on the new "P" parking icon and bring up your different parking options • Mad Max mode on the highway feels slightly more conservative with top speed (favors low 80s more often), but will now get to the right lanes sooner to prepare for exiting the highway. In this first drive, Mad Max did not go above 83mph, despite no cars around me most of the time. Follow distance is also more comfortable. I like all these things. • I'm having zero brake stabbing issues on 14.3.1, whereas I had a couple on my first drive with 14.3 • Urban lane selection is better vs 14.3 • Navigation routes and occasional parking alignment still need some work, but that's not a reason to hold back wide release. It still surprises me how much quicker V14.3 reacts to things. If a car pulls out of a parking spot as you drive by, FSD hits the brakes before you even know what's going on. The 20% better reaction time is definitely noticeable.

And splashdown! America is back in the business of sending astronauts to the Moon and bringing them home safely. Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy did an outstanding job. These talented astronauts inspired the world and represented their space agencies and nations as humanity’s ambassadors to the stars. This was a test mission, the first crewed flight of SLS and Orion, pushing farther into the unforgiving environment of space than ever before, and it carried real risk. They accepted that risk for all we stood to learn and for the exciting missions that follow, as we return to the lunar surface, build a Moon base, and prepare for what comes next. And they were not alone. The entire NASA workforce, our commercial and international partners, and the hopes and dreams of people all over the world were with them. The astronauts know it, and you should too. This mission would not have been possible without you. Congratulations. Artemis II, mission accomplished.

New record🥇 The Artemis II astronauts are now farther from Earth than humans have ever been! At 1:57 p.m. EDT, they broke the record set by Apollo 13 in 1970. Their journey around the far side of the Moon today will take them a maximum distance of 252,752 miles from Earth.

🚨 Artemis II’s BIGGEST milestones are tomorrow. Here’s when they’ll happen: 📍1:56 PM ET (1756 UTC) Crew surpasses the Apollo 13 distance record 📍2:45 PM ET (1845 UTC) Lunar observation period begins 📍6:47 PM ET (2247 UTC) Loss of signal expected as Orion heads behind the Moon (~40 min) 📍7:02 PM ET (2302 UTC) Closest approach to the Moon 📍7:05 PM ET (2305 UTC) Orion reaches its furthest point from Earth Tomorrow is going to be HISTORIC!

@bscholl I'm hoping @NASAAdmin can flip this government attitude. Too much unnecessary red tape and slow moving processes to innovate. His changes thus far are promising!

Haters be like: SLS is so old it was made before HD cameras, and so inflexible it can’t be upgraded.
✨Sp🅰️ce JM🚀@space_jm_

@bscholl This is a malicious argument from you. First, because only one rocket in this comparison is publicly funded. Second, because you should know that SLS was designed before HD cameras on rockets were a thing and re-certifying it now would be a major pain.

@bscholl That low bandwidth frame rate is pretty bad huh? I was glad they at least had a couple cameras. Also, my 4 year old is spoild with SpaceX views and was confused by the traditional animated graphics.
