I saw the knot analogy referred to again this week in regard to complex systems and it reminded me of this reflection on complex discharge. The role of our IDFs being to assist in simplification and untangling the knot to find a pathway forward

Who can determine if a patient lacks capacity???…….. ward consultants can 💯 do this. There is no need for psychiatry to ascertain it. 😊

Starting July there will be the reintroduction of a IDF working Sundays. This will allow us to capture the Monday discharges and review any complex discharge cases on site.
