@real_moldav @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 Your people were implanted in Moldova, while Romanians were deported to fucking Siberia. If your people can't assimilate in over 100 years there's definitely something wrong with them. You don't speak for Moldova! Don't call yourself Moldavian, I found it insulting.
English

@UniqueHiFi @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 Speaking a creole language with a predominantly Latin structure doesn't mean sharing any "Latin history". We were never part of the Roman Empire, we were never Roman citizens, we certainly don't come from Italy… our people never identified after any Roman derivative.

@real_moldav @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 A creole or pidgin is a simplified language with broken grammar. Romanian/Moldovan has a highly complex Latin grammar (three genders, five cases, and archaic verb conjugations) that a "shepherd's pidgin" could never sustain. A highly confirmed linearly descended Romance language.
English

@UniqueHiFi @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 As a creole language having in Balkan latin its main lexifier, not as a linearly descended from Latin, developed the pidgin of the Carpathian shepherds on the basis of what is now labeled as Eastern Romance linguistic group.
English

@UniqueHiFi @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 Linguistic development doesn't coincide with ethnic development. Otherwise you would literally be saying that Nigerians are Germanic because they speak English, or that Senegalese are Latin because they speak French 🤣
English

@UniqueHiFi @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 Show the studies here providing the links, instead of citing sources randomly that you just asked an AI to give you.
English

@real_moldav @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 LMAO, you’re literally admitting they are Eastern Romance while denying the Latin foundation.🤡
English

@UniqueHiFi @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 What Latin foundation? 😂That both languages belongs to the Eastern Romance linguistic group? That proves no common ethnic origin whatsoever, still less that Moldavians ever shared that Roman colonial identity from which the modern concept of Romanian was elaborated from.
English

@real_moldav @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 LMAO, thanks for the gift. You just admitted that 'Moldavian' is the only 'language' on Earth that supposedly exists without a standard, a dictionary, or a unique grammar.
English

@UniqueHiFi @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 Linguistic standards were only developed in the 19th century: so Latin was never a language lmao.
For purely political reasons Moldavian has no official standard: doesn't change is a living language distinct from Romanian, and literature predates Romanian Standard itself.
English

@real_moldav @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 You're clinging to stagnant Soviet demographics while a new generation of Moldovans is reclaiming their actual identity through citizenship and education. The only "pathetic" thing is using a VPN to bark about a frontier that history, DNA, and the people are finally tearing down.
English

@UniqueHiFi @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 So 34% of Moldavians hold Ro passport, very far from 50%. We also have over 200,000 with Russian passports, so what? The 2024 census shows that despite 30 years of unofficial Romanian state ideology Romanian identity remains miserably shattered below 8% -- extremely pathetic.
English

@real_moldav @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 You’re trying to use 17th-century regional terminology to justify a 100-year-old kidnapping. It’s not "history," it’s Stockholm Syndrome with a Canary Islands tan. You’re just the last guy left in the Soviet museum trying to sell tickets to a ghost show. Buh-bye!
English

@UniqueHiFi @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 I’m trying to spare you the humiliation: do you capitulate right now, or do you want me to bring you pics of the literal passages from Cantemir and Costin in which they both say that in their own day ONLY THE WALLACHIANS called themselves români? Choice is yours 😁
English

@real_moldav @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 "Infinitely greater proximity"? You’ve officially left reality. Serbs and Slovaks belong to different Slavic branches (South vs. West) and cannot understand each other without a translator. In contrast, Moldovans and Romanians share the same grammar, vocabulary, and dictionary.
English

@UniqueHiFi @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 Literally there is infinitely greater linguistic proximity between Serbs and Slovaks than between Moldavians and Romanians LMAO😂
English

@real_moldav @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 You’re thanking the Empire for forced illiteracy and a Stalinist alphabet. If being "Moldavian" means ignoring 2000 years of Latin history to satisfy a Russian border, then your "identity" is just a political cage.
English

@UniqueHiFi @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 Yes I thank God that being incubated within the Russian Empire we stayed Moldavian: we preserved our ethnic identity (that is Moldavian) which Russia never tried to erase, and we didn't degenrated into Romanians.
English

@real_moldav @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 "Not repressed"? In 1842, Russia banned Romanian in secondary schools, and in 1867, it was forbidden in the Church.
By 1897, Bessarabian literacy was a pathetic 15% because the Empire preferred an illiterate, easy-to-manipulate population. Imperial censorship, not modernization.
English

@UniqueHiFi @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 Banned what where? "Romanian schools" never existed. The Russians simply introduced the modern school system in Russian language: the empire’s lingua franca. But Moldavian language was not repressed in any way, anywhere.
English

@real_moldav @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 2/2
If they moved from the South, then the language would be saturated with Byzantine Greek. Instead, it’s Archaic Latin—the mark of a population that stayed put in the Carpathians. You're just trying to find a new date for an old Imperial land-grab myth.
English

@real_moldav @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 "7th-century migration"? Still fiction. Archaeology (Ipotești-Cândești culture) proves Romance-speakers were already north of the Danube, living alongside Slavs, not "filling a vacuum."

Română

@real_moldav @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 The Yamnaya culture wasn’t restricted to the mountains; it spread across the entire Pontic-Caspian steppe, including the Danubian plains of southern Romania and Bulgaria. Thousands of Yamnaya kurgans (burial mounds) have been found in the Romanian regions of Muntenia and Dobruja.
English

@UniqueHiFi @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 but even that derives from Carpathian cultures (Yamnaya), not from Danubian cultures like that of Romanians and Bulgarians.
English

@real_moldav @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 3/3
You're calling the foundation (Paleo-Balkan) "Moldavian" but the language (Latin) "foreign." That's like saying a person isn't related to their father because they look like their grandfather. It's the same family tree.
English

@real_moldav @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 You just admitted the "Paleo-Balkan/Carpathian substrate" is the foundation. That is the Daco-Roman bedrock. The "Slavic" you're seeing is a 15–20% admixture common to the entire region. It doesn't change the 70% Latin language or the Balkan genetic cluster.

English

@real_moldav @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 You’re literally arguing that two identical branches of the same tree are different species because one grew slightly further east. It’s not "science"; it’s Soviet-style fragmentation.
English

@UniqueHiFi @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 Thracians derived from the Danubian cultures, the Getae derived from the Yamnaya culture, itself an evolution of the late-Trypillia culture.
English

@real_moldav @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 "Exterminated" is 19th-century propaganda, not 21st-century science. Ancient DNA sequencing (Gelabert, 2022) proves direct genetic continuity from the local Iron Age populations to modern Romanians and Moldovans.
English

@UniqueHiFi @eneamtiu @slang1010 @Dovydas44444 The Dacians were exterminated during the Roman conquest and the Getae, who were present in Moldavia, weren't of the same kin as the Thracians/Moesians at south of the Danube and from whom the Romanians evolved.
