Happy 2nd birthday, ORE. 🎂 Two years ago: “Introducing Ore – A digital currency you can mine from anywhere, at home or on your phone.” The vision remains. The work continues. Job’s not finished. ⛏️

Introducing Ore – A digital currency you can mine from anywhere, at home or on your phone. Ore is a new mineable token launching today on the Solana blockchain. It uses a novel proof-of-work algorithm to guarantee casual miners can never be starved out from earning rewards.

Modern defi really combines the worst aspects of crypto and tradfi security. Crypto inherently removes all the traditional security layers that tradfi offers: - No transaction monitoring - No approvals - No phone calls - No 2FA - No back office risk teams… It replaces all these security layers with a single line of defense: the cryptographic signature. The original promise of crypto was this tradeoff would remove counterparty risk. Crypto was supposed to make us feel confident *my* funds are secured by *my* signatures (and by not anyone else’s). But modern defi doesn’t do this. In fact, it tends to make counterparty risk even more acute. Since defi teams are much smaller than tradfi orgs, funds sitting in smart contracts are really only dependent on the signatures of ~1-3 people rather than a broad org of diffuse responsibility and kafkaesque procedures. The only way forward for defi from here is immutable open source contracts. Otherwise all of this is pointless and basically worse than tradfi.

Bosnian footballer Esmir Bajraktarević drops into sujūd after qualifying for the FIFA World Cup. From a nation that once fought to exist… to the biggest stage in the world. His name "Bajraktarević" means flagbearer. Now he will carry his nation’s flag not just in his name, but on the biggest stage in world sport. 🇧🇦

At this point, I dont dare hope of reclaiming back my CRT stack 😮‍💨 But if by some miracles I do, I’m gonna put half or most of it on $ORE If I can lose money just putting it in stables, might as well take my chances with @OREsupply !
Carrot@DeFiCarrot

After further investigation - Carrot has been impacted by the recent exploit on the Drift protocol. We have paused mint/redeem functions at this time until we can gain more clarity and will update with information when we have it. All Boost and Turbo products are unaffected

Typical Miner Behaviour. You mine for a while, then step away... Months later, you come back and check on your unrefined $ORE, only to see how much it has grown passively while you were gone. It’s entirely up to you — you can mine all the time, some of the time, or take long breaks. At the end of the day, your $ORE keeps growing as long as you’re in the mines. Everyone should own at least 1 ORE. ⛏️

Sooo I stopped mining for like 1-2 months cos I ran out of SOL and some personal family probs before. I STG this refined $ORE was below 0.8 ORE before I stopped. Just started mining again like couple days ago. Shows u how u could still earn ORE passively without actively mining. And Im just a ‘dust miner’ too. Study @OREsupply . Not gambling $SOL but mining $ORE. Generational wealth locked in! (Screenshot from Dec 17th, 2025 and today)

For context: Refined $ORE is fees that you get from other miners getting charged 10% for claiming their unrefined OREs early. Love this hodling incentive. Genius!
