what worked for me was: 1. drawing every day for multiple hours 2. only drawing things i liked 3. finding good references and artists to learn from 4. asking help from artist friends that are better than me

Michelangelo did not lock himself in a room for years though. That is not how art worked in the Renaissance! He worked for wealthy patrons, including the pope, under a lot of stress. The issue is that wealthy patrons nowadays don’t value art, and don’t commission it.

@GuGi263 If anyone is curious, this is the male (Varso) who took over the egg duty, while the female (Zoe) was taking a break :) They ended up having one chick that year.

A pair of parent falcons were blown away by strong winds, revealing a rather undignified posture. I apologize, but I couldn't help but laugh. This photo was taken by a member of a Polish organization that works to protect falcons. Once very popular in Poland, peregrine falcons were nearly extinct in the 1960s.
