Wesley Snipes refused to open his eyes for this scene in Blade:Trinity (2004), and so they had to be digitally rendered.

Chris Bischoff - Animal Use Protocol
Something that helps me rapidly produce models is making my own simple texture atlas kits. Ill start with a high res kit - and then make an atlas to match it by rendering out the 'top' views. This ensures the textures are matched - and the elements can be easily mixed as needed. And honestly, often I don't even touch the mid poly pieces - building with the cards is very quick, and the meshes are optimized out the gate.

@opinali called it, though surprised it doesn't get a z buffer x.com/sainimatic/sta…
Macroblock@sainimatic

@NikTek It's clearly frame processing but probably using frame buffers like Z and normals which the GPU gives you for free as controlnet type passes to maintain spatial and temporal consistency. He can call it content-control genAI or neural rendering, but it's still frame processing

Daniel got important clarifications from NVIDIA. TLDR: the "DLSS5 skeptical" were right about *everything*. 1⃣ It's a 2D AI Filter. Input is only color buffer & motion vectors. The model doesn't see geometry, lights, PBR properties, normals, anything🧵 youtu.be/D0EM1vKt36s

🚨Breaking: Someone patched GIMP to look and feel exactly like Adobe Photoshop. Same keyboard shortcuts. Same tool layout. Same everything. It's called PhotoGIMP and it's free. Here's exactly what it changes: → Every keyboard shortcut mapped to match Adobe's official Photoshop layout → Tools reorganized to match the Photoshop panel positions you already know → Canvas space maximized -- same default workspace as Photoshop → Custom splash screen and app icon so it feels like a real product → Pre-defined canvas templates matching Photoshop defaults → Works on Windows, macOS, and Linux -- installs in under a minute Here's the wildest part: Adobe Photoshop costs $600/year. GIMP is free. PhotoGIMP makes it feel like Photoshop. The only reason most designers don't switch is muscle memory every shortcut is in a different place and it feels wrong from the first click. This patch fixes that entirely. Ctrl+Z undo. Ctrl+J duplicate layer. Ctrl+T transform. All of it. Download a zip. Extract to your home folder. Done. 6.7K GitHub stars. Works with GIMP 3.0+. 100% Open Source. GPL-3.0 License. (Link in the comments)

@latestinspace for the people saying "where's the stars": it's photographic exposure. Cameras can't see detail in bright areas and dark areas at the same time, you have to pick a range. Here the range is for the white spacesuits and grey ground hit by direct sun. Stars are much dimmer than that

@sainimatic @capeshitsuccs Yea it looks overcast soft on him. But then hard light hitting the building below. Everyone approaches lighting different. But I would have had the buildings in shadow and have Spider-Man high enough that the sun touches him only. Right before the sun sets.

@capeshitsuccs Complete lighting incoherence. You can't get a sun flaring off of glass like that if you're looking down. The sun should also be hitting Spiderman but he looks like he's indoors. Also locked off camera. Bizarre choice at this height.
