There were so many nuggets of wisdom from Chris Sikorsky and Kirstin Meadows with Sik Pics Productions at the recent @TheChamberYXE Chamber on Tap event! Here's what stood out for me: - If you have experience from different fields, take advantage of building a diverse skill stack. - If you're starting something new, you can moonlight before jumping in, and you can always go back to what you know if needed. - Nurture the strengths and differences in partnerships (Chris has crazy ideas, and Kirstin is the voice of reason!). - Elevate the project in a way your client wouldn't have dreamed of otherwise. - Have a rainy day fund. What if your biggest client isn't your biggest client any longer? - Don't say yes to too much. - In a business partnership that's also a marriage, set boundaries. Don’t start conversations about the business at midnight when you’re trying to fall asleep! - Get to know your repeat clients and what they like. #yxe #yxebusiness
