You can’t stand in Monument Valley and believe the earth is ordinary.

The sky wasn't doing anything special that morning. Thick clouds, no light. I was almost ready to pack up and leave. Then a narrow break let through just enough color. One tree. One reflection. One moment. Sometimes the quietest mornings make the strongest images.
