Wow! What a day! @jamiearnoldWMBF, @anyacarneytv, Sarah Pettigrew and I took home two awards for Are You Cirrus, including best podcast! I also took home Weathercaster of the Year at the Radio Television Digital News Association Awards in Charlotte today. I’m beyond thankful. There are many others who deserve the recognition for their hard work. Just blessed that someone thinks I deserve this one. 😭 A big shoutout to our awesome @wmbfnews team for winning BIG. I’m just grateful to be their teammates.

12:20 PM | Storms continue to push through Horry County, moving slowly to the northwest. Here's a view of the storm from our Coastal Carolina camera as the storm brings downpours across Socastee, Forestbrook and Carolina Forest. @wmbfnews @jamiearnoldWMBF #scwx #myrwx

We'll keep the rain risk lower today than the previous couple of days. Lingering showers continue as the front stalls to our south. Expect more clouds with peeks of sunshine through the day. Rain chances become limited as we welcome back more sunshine and heat for the end of the work week.

Expect more clouds today with the lingering shower chances. Today won't be like the previous few days, but we still expect a couple showers at times before we clear out later this week. #scwx #ncwx #myrwx @wmbfnews

Clouds didn't hold back the SpaceX launch in Sunset Beach. What a great grab from Mark Moore this morning. Many of you said it was "faint" or tucked behind the clouds in your location. @wmbfnews @jamiearnoldWMBF

3:40 AM TUESDAY | Sadly, clouds look to be an issue for us this morning, with the SpaceX rocket launch still scheduled for 5:10 AM today. It's worth going outside and looking at your location with some breaks in the clouds, but this will be nowhere close to what we saw last week. Most of us will be blocked by cloud cover if the current trends hold. All systems are still GO for the launch this morning. #scwx #ncwx #myrwx @wmbfnews @jamiearnoldWMBF

A trip back home to Kentucky for a beautiful wedding surrounded by family and friends. Watching Brooks walk down the aisle as the ring bearer is a memory we'll cherish forever. Moments like these go by so fast, and we're grateful we got to be part of such a special day. Congratulations, Julia and John Michael! We love you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness together. 🤍

JUST IN - The Storm Prediction Center has increased most of South Carolina from a LEVEL 1 to a LEVEL 2 severe storm risk for today including all of the Grand Strand and Pee Dee. Several clusters of storms are likely to develop later today. Some of the storms will be capable of producing wind gusts to 60 mph along with excessive lightning. Keep checking back through the afternoon as some watches and warnings will likely be issued for some areas. #SCwx @wmbfnews
