In Utah, 80% of our ozone comes from background sources — either naturally occurring or transported from other countries. This shift allows EPA to account for the intermountain west’s unique conditions — allowing us to address air quality while advancing transportation projects.

The visit was a great chance to highlight Utah’s success and build support for our priorities. We also welcomed Administrator Zeldin’s important announcement that would help Utah meet air quality standards.

We absolutely agree with @mschultz_12! We are grateful for the legislature's leadership and commitment to multi-modal transportation.  And we are proud of our collaboration and plans that make these investments so fruitful.  Let's keep moving forward!
Mike Schultz@mschultz_12

A robust transportation system supports our economic growth, helps Utahns spend more time in our unrivaled outdoors, and gets you home to your family. This legislative session, we're committed to building on past investments to keep our state moving today and for years to come.
