The best investing conversations happen when two people disagree but both have a thesis. Not "this stock will moon 🚀" vs "you're wrong." But "here's my TP and why" vs "here's mine and why." That's how you actually learn on this app. Had one of those today on ACCESSCORP. Good people on this timeline 🙏

@WealthWithPro You don't learn anything meaningful if you always feel that you're right.

@WealthWithPro Facts. Most people want quick wins, but the real edge is staying consistent when it’s boring or tough. That’s where the money is made.

It’s for:
• Patience

Last night, I was telling guys in my group about how Access Bank became what it is today. How Aig and Herbert left GT Bank and decided to acquire a struggling 65th-ranked institution. And took it to the top 5 banks on the country. It is really an inspiring story.

@ObafemiEmilola1 @Officially_Kriz Thank you sir 🙏 The fundamentals of great leadership and bold execution never change, whether it's building a bank or building a portfolio. The ACCESS story is a masterclass in both.

@Nairametrics This is the kind of stock story that keeps long term investors patient. Strong earnings, climbing dividends, growing assets and the market still hasn't fully priced it in? That's the definition of an opportunity. Which insurance name is this?

Imagine holding a stock that's already delivered massive returns over two years, and then being told the best part might still be ahead. That's where some analysts are landing on this insurance name. Earnings are strong, dividends are climbing, assets are growing. And the valuation? It still might not reflect the full picture. 👉 Subscribe to ftm.ng to know more about this stock.

@compoundinnaira Datamax setting the standard early. Veritas will be interesting to watch new listings always come with growing pains. Track record matters and right now Datamax has one, Veritas is still building theirs. Time will tell.

You see how Datamax was able to pay out GT dividends without any major issues? I don’t expect the same story for Veritas! The people at Veritas are built different, they may prove me wrong sha, but I am sticking to my past experience.

@MrAnosike Fair point. survival first, always. But even at ₦150k/month, investing ₦15–20k consistently is not "investing your way to freedom" it's building a habit that compounds over time. Freedom comes later. The habit starts now regardless of income level

If you’re earning ₦150k/month in Nigeria, the goal is survival + gradual progress, not “invest your way to freedom.”

This is actually a positive development dressed up as bad news. Cleaner books backed by stronger capital means the risks are priced in now not discovered later. Nigerian banks are maturing and that's good for long term investors. The messiness today is the foundation of the reliability tomorrow

I had the same challenge. Cowry wise actually requires the child to be at least 5 years old before you can open a dedicated minor equity account. What I did instead was open a separate Cowry wise account and set up a monthly SIP in a growth portfolio in the child's name. By the time he turns 5 and becomes eligible, the funds would have been compounding for years then I move everything into the proper minor account and continue from there. It's a workaround but it works 👌

I feel bad for folks whose only objective online is to discourage people from starting small… consistency is the mark of Champions.
Emmanuel Osu@OSUET1

@MudiTheInvestor I started with 25k monthly in Aug 2006, by Aug 2007, my portfolio was up close to 800k and that was the funds, I liquidated to sponsor my JAPA trip for my masters in Sweden. People have no Idea, what consistency and compounding does

Equity mutual funds are the easiest and less riskier way to get into the 🇳🇬 stock market. With this, you don't have to pick company stocks. Just buy into the funds and let a professional manage it for you. It is best for newbies with little or no knowledge about a company's stocks. Let me explain how it works 👇 What Are Equity Mutual Funds? These are investment vehicles that pool money from multiple investors to buy a diversified portfolio of stocks (equities). They're managed by professional fund managers who make decisions on what to buy, sell, or hold based on the fund's strategy. Pros of Investing in Equity Mutual Funds 1. Diversification: Spreads risk across many stocks, reducing the impact of any single company's poor performance. 2. Professional Management: Fund managers handle the heavy lifting, including market analysis and rebalancing. 3. Ease of Access: You can start with small amounts (often as low as N10,000) 4. Liquidity: Most funds allow you to buy or sell shares on any business day. Potential Drawbacks 1. Fees: Expense ratios (annual management fees) can eat into returns 2. Market Risk: Since they're tied to stocks, they can fluctuate with the market; they're not suitable for short-term needs. 3. Underperformance: Not all managers beat the market; studies show many active funds lag behind indexes long-term. 4. No Control: You can't pick specific stocks, which might frustrate hands-on investors. If you're just starting, consider equity funds on platforms like: Zedcrest Wealth, Cowrywise, and ARM.

@ddokeyokey This is one of the most important lessons in investing. A stock falling from ₦50 to ₦30 isn't cheap it depends on WHY it's falling. Sentiment selloff? Opportunity. Broken fundamentals? Stay away. The homework separates the two.

A falling stock is not automatically a buying opportunity. Some stocks are temporarily beaten by sentiment. Others are fundamentally broken. If you don’t know the difference… The market will teach you with losses.

@EniolaStocks "Treat it like Netflix" 😂 This is the best framing I've heard. Budget it, enjoy it, don't expect returns. Separate your entertainment money from your wealth-building money completely. Great morning reminder .

Building a portfolio requires patience, discipline, and compounding. Sports betting requires luck. Confuse the two and you’ll fund your losses with your future gains. If you must gamble, treat it like Netflix: budget it, enjoy it, but don’t expect returns. Good morning
