Honestly! If you ask me it’s more risky than placing your money in piggyvest savings accounts, money market funds and fixed income. The chances that someone can disappear with people funds is giving the same level of risk stocks has. Cos the market can crash and just go down down.

There is no subject called Personal Finance in the Nigerian education system. Not in primary school. Not in secondary school. Not in university. We teach children algebra they will never use but we do not teach them how to budget, save, invest, manage debt, or understand taxes. Then we release them into an economy with 15% inflation and wonder why they are broke at 30. The system did not prepare them. It prepared them for exams. Not for life.

Why not just refund the money immediately and wash your hands with the situation? Clearly this person took them off the schedule already. What reason does it make to wait to refund other than to be petty?

I sent an invoice 3 weeks ago, customer paid it 2am last night the event is at 12pm today. I’m gonna refund at 11am. 👍🏾

Your emergency fund is not an investment. It is insurance. Three to six months of living expenses. In a money market fund or high-yield savings account. Not in stocks. Not in business. Not lent to anybody. When you lose your job or have a medical emergency, this money keeps you alive without forcing you to sell investments at a loss.

@WealthwithMiah @TobiOdukoyaFilm money in critical situations. That’s where the “humanity” part comes in. A society can’t fully rely on “if you can’t afford it, go elsewhere” when it comes to health emergencies. There needs to be a balance between sustainability and access to care.

I went to this hospital at Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja Lagos I wanted to see the gynecologist. I paid for registration, 23,766 Paid for consultation, 119,000 Paid for tests close to 350k (it was about three hundred and forty something) Minus my T.fare o Now after close to a month, my results are ready. Oya o, tell me what the tests says. NO, I HAVE TO PAY 64,000 FIRST before the gynecologist can interpret what my tests says. I almost lost it with them! They said it's the policy. And frankly i don't have 64k to pay for tests interpretation. I told them to send the results to my mail. I'm so heartbroken and disappointed.

@Deborah09072 @TobiOdukoyaFilm Unfortunately, those systems need to be set up by the government. Private hospitals can’t afford to provide care without being paid. And if it’s not about luxury service a government hospital will should suffice then.

An hospital is just a business place like a cinema is a business place. There are several grades of hospitals. General hospital do not take consultation fees might best to go there. You can’t go to an high earned hospital and be expecting them not to charge you wella. You can’t go to big high earned restaurant when na mama pot money dey your pocket. Quick tip: when going to private hospital ask for how much the total service will be. How much for 1st consultation and 3 more follow up consultation. If you can’t afford it. Go elsewhere.
