bored, so here's what I think chasing would be like in some states as someone who has never chased

CFS and CanSIPS are starting to align better for lower precip anomalies across much of the Atlantic during peak hurricane season. Hopefully means a less active season.

As 1st cluster of supercells moves off east towards the edge of the instability axis, I’m setting my sights on the cluster entering Clearfield county. The OFB left behind by the 1st round could even give this 2nd round some extra streamwise vort (but still don’t expect tornadoes)

Nice hail core developing with the SVR warned storm northeast of State College. Millheim, Mifflinburg, and Lewisburg are in the path should it hold together. #pawx

ICL I'm surprised that we have an enhanced risk with 30% hail and wind probs considering current conditions and models.

@jtooch07 Wondering if this is one of those cases where too much clearing could kill any severe chances for this evening.

Seeing a lot of clearing over the majority of Pennsylvania. This should aid in destabilization and instability build up. We’ll see how the timing of our front evolves this afternoon and evening, and if it’ll be able to firmly tap into a (pending) destabilizing environment. #PAwx

As some have mentioned already, this is one of those cases where too much clearing is probably a bad thing for any severe potential this evening. Wouldn't expect much in the way of severe storms tonight, mainly just rain.
