I think the easiest way to convey how I feel about these panels is that I can easily hear Ryan or Jason read the dialogue in the first one but I can't hear anyone but Roger read the dialogue in the second one

Even pc2 last man standing have better atmosphere, introduction and payoff whereas bite by night just feels bland
